Glenavon School is proudly offers a wide range of spaces that support learning, play, wellbeing, and connection.
Our students enjoy a well-maintained shallow-end swimming pool, large sports field, and versatile outdoor courts with basketball hoops, soccer goals, and space for tennis. Our newly refurbished bike track provides year-round opportunities for riding and active play. We have exciting play spaces across the school, including two playgrounds for our middle school students, a covered canopy play area with hoops, goals, and an outdoor stage, plus Glen’s Forest where students explore creative loose parts play.
Our youngest learners enjoy Papa pīpī pao pao, a thoughtfully designed play area featuring interactive water play, climbing tunnels, and grassy mounds for discovery and adventure. Inside, our school hall offers extra recreation opportunities with table tennis and foosball, as well as a piano and electric drum kit to support music learning and performance. Our multi-purpose room provides flexible learning space, including opportunities for students to develop practical cooking skills. We also have an on-site café where our intermediate students can learn about customer service and making barista hot drinks.
